General appearance and composition:
· highly sensitive powder with ferromagnetic particles, suspendable in water or oil
· suitable for dry testing at warm and high temperatures
· medium particle size da = 0,2 µm
Application:
· Concentrations: 1:200
Wet testing:
· dilute in water or MR ® 82 Flux oil
· according your requirements, add MR ® 300 Corrosion inhibitor, MR ® 400 Wetting agent and MR ® 500 Anti-foam emulsion
· for a good contrast spray a thin film MR 72 ® White contrast paint (layer thickness max. 40 µm) on the surface
· during magnetization (e.g. with a MR ® Hand yoke) spray the preparation on the surface
· discontinuities will appear as black magnetic particle indications
· after documentation the surface can be cleaned with MR ® 71 Remover
Dry testing:
· for a good contrast spray a thin film MR ® 72 White contrast paint (layer thickness max. 40 µm) on the surface
· during magnetization (e.g. with a MR ® 52 Hand yoke) dust the powder on the surface
· discontinuities will appear as black magnetic particle indications
· after documentation the surface can be cleaned with MR ® 71 Remover
Minimum durability:
· will keep for a minimum of 4 years, stored at room temperature
