The Cross-cut test allows you to assess the adhesion of single and multiple coatings. Both hard (e.g., steel) and soft (e.g., wood) substrates can be evaluated using SecoTest, a robust cross-cut cutter that operates according to DIN EN ISO 2409 and ASTM D3359-02 standards.
Robust and Easy
The SecoTest series consists of a sturdy holder for a hexagonal multi-cut blade and a rotating non-slip grip.
To ensure the reproducibility of the procedure, the test object must undergo an appropriate conditioning process (see DIN EN ISO 2409, section 6).
For on-site tests, the environmental conditions must be recorded in the test report. The procedure defined by ISO 4624 can be used to measure adhesion.
